First Peek at our Apartment

Today, I finally caught up on all of the blogging.  We have now been in Honduras for a week, and are starting to settle in and feel at home.  Our apartment is great (probably nicer than what we could afford in Canada, despite some questionable furniture choices…..

This is the view from the front door.

This is our living room.

Going into the dining area.

Our kitchen.

The back of the apartment, going into the bedrooms.

Our bedroom.

Our walk-in closet, leading into the bathroom.

The bathroom.

We've done a lot of exploring the city, and orientation stuff in the last week.  We hiked up Coca Cola mountain (aptly named for it's giant Coca Cola sign near the top that lights up at night....it's like the Honduran Hollywood sign).  We were both ready for an intense hike, but discovered that Coca Cola has a paved road winding up to the top.   This is us at the top.

This is a little peek at Tela, the beach that is about an hour from San Pedro Sula.  We had an orientation there that kept us inside for most of the day, but we got a couple hours to relax on the beach afterwards.

TJ and Erica in front of our apartment, behind us is the balcony we share with our neighbours, all of whom work with us at the school.  It's great in the evenings to hang out and hang a drink.

  1. Salut mes amis!! Keep the blogging coming it's really nice to see your new home + environment. You look great :)

When do you actually start teaching?

I'm heading back to Canada tomorrow. This summer is going by insanely fast and the days to September are thinning down. Our new crib is definitely less exotic as yours but I hope you two will come for a visit sometime when you come back to the Home Land. I see that your place lacks in decoration and is in desperate need of a personal touch. Hopefully you can go to the local market to get some shanzy decos or if you want, I could send you a few self portraits of myself for your walls. Imagine waking up to Mademoiselle Willis's face every morning jaja (remember, thats how the Spanish laugh)!!

Bon, allez bon courage mes petits poulets xoxo
